The Fischer Group
Comprised of Fischer Homes and Maple Street Homes, The Fischer Group is the second-largest and fastest-growing homebuilder in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Challenge
Supported by a 98% customer satisfaction rating, Fischer Homes wanted to differentiate itself from its competition by highlighting its involvement in its various communities. Fischer Homes’ marketing director decided to launch a Community Marketing campaign to support its existing traditional advertising but did not have the internal resources to develop and implement the campaign.
Solution
Beginning in February 2003, O’Keeffe Communications helped Fischer Homes develop its Community Marketing campaign, comprised initially of customer profiles pitched to neighborhood newspapers, and frequent news releases about new communities and customers of interest to the media. Eventually, O’Keeffe Communications began working with individual Fischer Homes sales counselors and internal resources to promote new communities and customers. In 2004, Fischer Homes hired an internal marketing manager to lead the overall Community Marketing effort, thereby increasing and expanding the company’s use of O’Keeffe Communications to lead all community-based PR efforts, including Web-enabled customer profiles, organized pitches to specific media contacts about individual communities, partnerships with area YMCAs and community organizations, and Fischer Homes’ first annual Share the Warmth Winter Clothing Drive in November 2005.
Results
In the three years since O’Keeffe Communications’ involvement, Fischer Homes expanded O’Keeffe Communications’ role and increased the company’s investment in Community Marketing initiatives. Fischer Homes continues as the area’s second-largest homebuilder, has opened its first communities in Indiana and has become the fastest-growing homebuilder in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
